The No Child Left Behind law has been touted as one of Bush's major successes. In reality, it's turned students, eager to learn new things, into test-taking robots, while sacrificing studies in the arts, the sciences and fields like history and geography. And it's done irreparable harm to schools that used to pride themselves on their students' achievments by forcing them to make unsavory financial choices in their curriculums in order to survive.
